1ère phase du projet – mobilisation des villageois
Check the video of the phase 1 of our project implementation: the mobilization of villagers
For our third year of projects in India, we have slightly adapted our strategy: in addition to the construction of water basins, fruit tree planting and fish farming, we have given a more important role to agriculture. For this, we have identified five villages with whom we will be working: Bhargaon, Satyanarayan Nagar, Bojh, Maharaj and Laxmi Purwa. In order to build group cohesion and a relationship built on trust, we have firstly helped them to resolve their immediate problems such as the non-payment of salaries by the government, the unfair termination of government aids in order to push villagers to sell their land, the inexistence of electricity sources in villages (even though the infrastructure is installed) and the lack of water supplies.
To resolve these problems, we have organized a letter-writing workshop that the villagers have sent to their local governments and in effect all the salaries have been paid, and the district chief gave his word that he will personally take a look at the electrification and water supplies of the villages. We have also identified the villagers interested in the development of agriculture and with the help of these mobilized and motivated groups, we will be able to implement Rain Drop’s various projects.Regardez la vidéo de la première phase de notre projet ou comment nous avons mobilisé les villageois !
